Anil Kumar Jain, ITS, is a seasoned telecom and internet infrastructure leader with over 44 years of experience across government and industry. A B.Tech (Electronics & Communication) from Delhi College of Engineering and PGDM (MDI Gurugram) — where he was the winner of the Prime Minister Gold Medalist, Mr. Anil has held senior leadership roles at BSNL, DOT, MTNL and HCL, and served as CEO of the National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) and COO of CSC Wi Fi Service Ltd. He co-founded a data centre company and has a strong track record in corporate finance, business strategy, marketing, policy affairs and business development. Internationally, Anil has chaired and served leadership positions with ICANN and related global Internet governance forums, including Global Chair of Universal Acceptance Steering Group (UASG) and Chair of India Internet Governance Forum (IIGF). His key achievements include launching broadband services in India, establishing marketing as a core function in DOT/BSNL, founding NIXI-CSC Data Services Ltd., and significantly scaling NIXI’s business. Known for integrity, structured thinking and operational discipline, he excels at mapping customer needs into technology-enabled solutions and driving operational excellence.
